A gift for my friends to put in their new apartment.
The subject was by their request "a gothic castle or Cathedral with black birds" They got a combination, cathedral with castle aspects and crows. it is acrylic paint on a 16" x 20" canvas. The brightness in the middle is from the flash. The background is actually pretty even. I had to take a picture at night before I gave it to them. I used gesso for the matte parts, black mixed with irridescent white for the mid tones and gold mixed with black for the shiny parts. |
